I have been itching to create something dark, moody and dramatic with our handmade Copper Moon as a backdrop so you can imagine the thrill when I contacted Tiana at Wildwood Weddings & Events to suggest this and get together some beautiful creative businesses in a forest in Dorset, UK. We were both incredibly excited and had a similar vision for what the outcome would be.
The models I tracked down were actually a military family and one of my brides for 2022. They were perfect and created such a fab sultry Addams family mood. My lovely bride; Rhianna and I clicked from the get go and I was so happy to have her involved with the shoot and get some awesome pics to give her a unique experience to share with her family.
Nothing could top Chris & Rhianna's real chemistry and passion for each other. They did dark, moody, witchy boho very well! We styled up the shoot with The Copper Moon as a backdrop which was handmade by my husband Matt and The Love Seat, which we came across second hand when searching for something fabulous to act as a photo prop. We spruced it up and the results were beautiful!
The Copper Moon was originally made for our own wedding and symbolises when Matt goes to sea as we always say 'think of me when you look at the moon" cheesy as it is, it's also comforting. Haha!
We were all up at the crack of dawn for this shoot to catch the morning sun rise and it worked amazingly with the sun shafts splitting through the trees. It was a perfect autumnal morning; sultry and warm with dewy droplets on the forest floor. Ooh, I just loved everything about it!
The florals that I created for this photoshoot were all everlasting, dried and a combination of black palms, burgundy Eucalyptus, dark Pampas Grass which I dyed myself, Roses, Mustard Lona, gold Palms and purple Statice.
If you are planning your wedding or event and are looking for some lovingly restored props and florals, please get in touch. We can style it up to fit your requirements and would love to chat about your ideas.
